Bob Filoramo: My CDs
My Beacon of Hope
(words and music by Bob Filoramo)
The title song of the CD was written after a personal health scare in which I found myself drawn to even an even deeper relationship with God. Following a successful surgery, I had recurring visions of a lighthouse that provided me with a sense of comfort. I later realized that Jesus was my lighthouse in the storm and this gave me hope and quieted my fears.

Lyrics
Sometimes it seems to me I’m a ship on the sea, battered and torn by the storm lost and alone,
but fighting hard to find peaceful shores. Searching for calm, searching for peace searching for home.
And a guiding light shines upon the hill; clear and bright it glows for me to see. It leads me home through the storm, radiant and strong. A beacon of hope, the light on the shore.
The storm and the sea can seem to be all too strong. The fear and doubt from this world can make me
lose hope. But then my light and strength, Jesus my Lord, guides me to calm, guides me to peace
guides me home. (Refrain)
And I will not fear for I can see that the light of Jesus shines for me. It breaks the darkness and the
storm; it guides me through the night.
I persevere each day ‘cause I’m not alone. My savior is here with me now lighting the way.
Through the storm, he shines and offers me hope: offers me calm, offers me peace offers me home.
He’s the guiding light that shines upon the hill; clear and bright for all the world to see.
He leads me home through the storm, radiant and strong. He’s my beacon of hope, my light on the shore.
He’s the guiding light that shines upon the hill; clear and bright for all the world to see. He leads me home through the storm, radiant and strong. He’s my beacon of hope, my light on the shore.
He’s my beacon of hope, my light on the shore.
